The Nigiri Project

Proposal to University of California

CHALLENGE

The Nigiri Project is an innovative land-management project in the Sacramento Delta. The property, currently an active farm, is uniquely positioned to support farming, salmon fry growth as the fry head out to sea, and multi-disciplinary science and research. The project approached the University of California with a proposal that they own/manage the land, which would be slightly upgraded to hold water longer (giving fish fry more time to gain important weight and prepare for their long journey).

APPROACH

We focused on UC’s values—highlighting the many ethics shared by the UC system and the project—and developed our text from that shared space. Our project featured hard-copy proposals used for in-person presentations as well as virtual proposals and a PowerPoint, used for online presentations.
